An Exclusive Partnership
Haute MD's editorial authority, powered by Curium's GEO measurement technology.
About Curium
Curium is an AI search optimization platform founded in 2025 by Dr. Vishvak Murahari, Dr. Ameet Deshpande, and Dr. Karthik Narasimhan — three of the original authors of the foundational Generative Engine Optimization research paper. The platform measures, optimizes, and monitors brand visibility across major AI search surfaces.
Generative Engine Optimization (GEO) is the practice of structuring and publishing information so that generative engines — systems that answer a question directly instead of returning a list of links — can find, understand, attribute, and cite it. It is the successor discipline to search engine optimization, and unlike SEO its unit of success is a citation inside a generated answer.

The Research
The foundational paper, GEO: Generative Engine Optimization (Aggarwal, Murahari, Rajpurohit, Kalyan, Narasimhan, Deshpande; arXiv:2311.09735, published at ACM SIGKDD 2024), formalized generative engines as a distinct search paradigm and introduced a benchmark for measuring how often and how prominently a source is cited inside a generated answer.
Its central finding is the premise of this partnership: visibility inside generated answers is not random. It responds to specific, testable properties of a source — how it is structured, how it is attributed, and whether independent, citable coverage of the subject exists at all. That makes AI visibility something a physician can measure and work on, rather than something to hope for.
Research findings describe engine behavior in general. Haute MD does not guarantee rankings, leads, search placement, or AI citations for any individual physician.
Partnership Benefits
Every Haute MD membership is evaluated against Curium's GEO methodology, so citation rate is reported as a number rather than an impression.
Haute Living has been a Google News publisher since 2005. Curium's research shows engines weight independent, citable sources — Haute MD publishes exactly that class of source.
Content and structured data follow the signal categories identified in the foundational GEO research, not generic SEO checklists.
Credentials, training, certifications, locations, and specialties are reconciled into a single machine-readable record across the surfaces engines read.
Visibility is re-measured on a recurring schedule across five engines so change over time is visible and attributable.
This methodology is available to physicians through the Haute MD Network — an exclusive partnership between Haute Living and Curium.
The Curium GEO Protocol
Baseline how the major engines currently describe you — and who they name instead.
Your credentials are reconciled into one canonical, machine-readable physician entity.
Professionally written features published on Haute Living's Google News-indexed domain.
Physician, MedicalBusiness, FAQPage, and Article schema deployed for retrieval systems.
Coverage is indexed, then citation rate is re-measured across five engines.
Monitored Models
Engine coverage reflects the surfaces monitored under the Curium GEO Protocol and may change as platforms evolve.
