Haute 100 Miami Update: Sean Wolfington

Featured on our Haute 100 Miami list is Sean Wolfington, the CEO of Wolfington Companies, American film producer and finalist in Ernst & Young’s “Entrepreneur of the Year Award,” who happened to be the subject of a recent One on One profile in Haute Living Miami.

What Made Him Haute: Wolfington’s media company, The One Media, is a partner with Shakira, and he also served as chairman of the board for VinSolutions. BZ Productions, Wolfington’s previous digital marketing company, was granted the “Innovative Company of the Year” award for producing billions of dollars of sales on the Internet. Wolfington established some of the most prosperous marketing and consulting firms in the automotive business such as Automark and Cyber Car and BZ Results. Before breaking through to the film industry, Wolfington originated two notable technology and internet marketing companies that generated almost $400 million dollars in enterprise profit.

What Makes Him Haute Now: Named Haute Living‘s Entrepreneur of the Year and profiled in the June/July Miami edition, Wolfington continues to make strides in the film and marketing industries along with his philantrophic efforts. After Wolfington’s first film, Bella, won at the Toronto International Film Festival and was the top-rated film by www.RottenTomatoes.com in 2007, he then won 38 awards for Self-Medicated.

This year, Wolfington began work on his latest endeavor,  Tier 10. Tier 10 supports automotive groups in actualizing marketing strategies in order to build an appealing brand and boost sales. The company also represents non-automotive clients including musicians, films and media companies. Some of the films Tier 10 has worked with are Bella, Blinde Side and The Mighty Macs. Wolfington is also fond of charity work and is the chairman of The Wolfington Charitable Foundation, which passionately assists charities that help the poor. In 2008, Wolfington was granted the President’s Service Award for his charity work through his foundation. At the Sony Ericsson tournament this year, the Wolfingtons hosted a party after Rafa Nadal won his first match.
