Haute 100 San Francisco Update: John Pritzker Investing in the Windy City
Billionaire John Pritzker is making big moves in Chicago.
The Hyatt Hotels heir decided to buy a boutique hotel in downtown Chicago. The historic Chicago Athletic Association building at 12 S. Michigan was bought at $12 million and will have an estimated 250 luxury rooms.
Pritzker is hoping for an early 2014 opening for this new boutique hotel that will be part of the Thompson Hotels group.
