What do Haute 100 lister Anna Wintour, Sen. Kristin Gillibrand and designer Prabal Gurung all have in common? They all sat front row at Haute 100 lister Carolina Herrera’s Monday Fall 2012 runway show and sang her praises.
Gurung, who also counts Herrera as a mentor, described himself as “in awe” of what Herrera has done with her brand. Though he felt an itch to be back stage, he gave the show his highest kiss of approval.
Likewise, New York Senator Gillibrand gushed to Women’s Wear Daily, “I love Carolina’s history in terms of dressing first ladies, being part of our culture over the last several decades. I think it’s important to come show my support for her specifically, and I personally really admire her designs. They’re ones that I can definitely wear.”
Gillibrand attended the show as Wintour’s guest. No surprise there as the Vogue editor is an avid political activist and supporter of the Democratic party.
