Will Smith is back on the silver screen today as the iconic Agent J in ‘Men in Black 3.’
It is the only film of the franchise—which first hit theatres in 1997—to be screened in 3D. In the time-travel plot, Agent J (Smith) travels back to 1969 to save young Agent K (Josh Brolin). “The time jump sequence is the beauty of 3D. That’s how 3D is supposed to be used,” Smith said in a recent interview.
He continued, “I think Barry Sonnenfeld did a genius job in building out that sequence and then also there’s a surprise at the end of the movie that I think is very special.”
The film is not only expected to push ‘The Avengers’ out of the number one spot but also to generate $250 million over Memorial Day Weekend.
