Haute 100 Los Angeles: Broad Museum at Michigan State is Delayed, MSU Compensates with Virtual One
The Eli and Edythe Broad Art Museum nestled at Michigan State University was supposed to open this spring; instead, the new space won’t open its doors until the fall. Not to fear—those desperate for a taste of the upcoming art showcase are taken care of.
MSU has opened the Virtual Broad Art Museum to assuage the anticipation of art-hungry museum-goers. This digital experience invites visitors to experience the construction of a real-life building.
Once the physical museum is open, the virtual museum will act as a complementary component; it will have an independent schedule of lectures and performance art. It will never charge admission.
