Nancy Brinker announced last week that she would be stepping down as Chief Executive Officer of the Susan G. Komen for a Cure foundation, an organization that she founded some 30 years ago after losing her sister to breast cancer.
Since its inception, Susan G. Komen for a Cure has raised more than $740 million dedicated to cancer research. Brinker will remain active in the organization, focusing on global expansion and strategy implementation.
