Chipotle To Give at Green City Market

Chipotle is constantly showing just how much it supports fresh food, this time with a great initiative at Green City Market during Farmer’s Market Week. This Saturday (August 10) Chipotle will be giving 250 $10 Green City Market Tokens to the first 250 people to enter the market. The tokens are redeemable for food at the market, so just add extra strawberries to your strawberry pile if you love them as much as I do. But if you’re not into strawberries as much as I am (you’re missing out), you can use the tokens for anything you want at the market. This initiative is just one part of Chipotle’s ongoing mission to promote and support local, family owned farms.

“For nearly two decades, Chipotle has been committed to bringing customers better food from more sustainable ingredients, and we believe that supporting local, family owned farms is an important part of this,” said Chris Arnold, communications director at Chipotle. “Local food not only tastes better, but is better for the environment and contributes to vibrant communities throughout rural America.”

And if you can’t make it out to Green City Market this week, please don’t forget about the third annual Cultivate Chicago festival that will take place Saturday, September 7 from 11AM to 7PM in Lincoln Park.  The festival is free and open to the public, so definitely put that in your schedule now because you won’t want to miss it.
