Haute Fashion Daily: Missoni Announces Plans for Expansion

This week, Italian fashion house Missoni released plans for the brand’s next avenue of expansive with its first residential project, a condominium tower located in the exclusive Makati community in the Philippines. The iconic Acqua Livingstone tower is scheduled to be completed in early 2015. Although the condominiums have been up for sale for less than a month, 25% of them have already been reserved and purchased.

“We brought our colors and our style inside. It’s a happy, positive approach: summer colors, solar colors,” Vittorio Missoni said of the 52-story building. “Coming from the outside you’re going to be surprised. It’s like opening a box and discovering something unexpected,” Missoni continued.

Pricing for one-bedroom units begin at $82,000. The common areas such as the pool, lobby and gym are entirely clad in the brand’s signature variegated squiggles and stripes motif. The individual residences are void of any Missoni design, but may be aggregated for an additional price. The Missoni tower is to be the second fashion branded building in Makati, an exclusive up and coming $315 million dollar community in the Filipino capital. Also currently under construction in the same area is the Versace-branded tower.
