San Francisco International Opens World’s First In-Airport Yoga Studio

For long flights, it’s often suggested to stretch before and after to relieve achy joints from hours of sitting. Well, San Francisco International Airport (SFO) officials announced Wednesday the grand opening of the world’s first in-airport yoga studio.

The best part is: it’s free!

The studio is tiny at a mere 150 square feet and  is located in the pristine, brand-new Terminal 2 (believe me, I’ve seen it myself, and it is gorgeous). The idea was conceived when an SFO traveler mentioned that the terminal had everything except for a yoga studio. Mats are included—so is the serenity the blue walls seem to create. The yoga studio presents quite the juxtaposition—compared to the hustle and bustle right outside its doors.
