Diane von Furstenberg Takes Miami

From Sephora to Saks Fifth Avenue, Diane von Furstenberg arrived in Miami with a packed line-up of launches, presentations, and meet and greets. This past Thursday, the coveted designer visited Sephora in Aventura Mall to launch her new fragrance, Diane. During the event, attendees had the special opportunity of meeting the designer, while a string of models styled in DVF’s signature wrap dress strutted through Aventura mall with signs inscribed with the designer’s motto “BE THE WOMAN YOU WANT TO BE.”
On Friday, DVF made her second appearance in Miami at Saks Fifth Avenue in Bal Harbour. The designer held a private cocktail reception at 6pm for the event’s host committee, which included Marysol Patton, Erin Newberg, Jillian Jacobson, Ginger Harris, Susanne Birbragher, and Tara Solomon. Following the reception, the women’s designer department on two was turned into a DVF wonderland, clad with playful and colorful fixtures and an informal presentation that showcased the designer’s Resort 2012 collection.
In true DVF fashion, both events celebrated women and the influence they have on the world. At both Sephora and Saks Bal Harbour, Diane left her guests with words that encouraged a balanced life filled with love and the fearless pursuit of their dreams. “I always knew the kind of woman I wanted to be.” -DVF
