Haute 100 Update: LeBron James Drops In on a Game of Touch Football in NYC Park

NBA superstar and recent Haute Living cover man LeBron James surprised the regular participants of the New York City Social Sports Club league when the basketball icon dropped in on their weekly touch football game on Monday night, Sept. 12.
The group of NYC players gathers weekly for a fun game, but this week proved a lot more interesting. When the meeting took place this past Monday night in Chelsea Park, the team was just finishing up their match and putting away their gear when James crashed the game, looking to join in on the fun.

Brian Eduardo, one of the league’s regular players, recalled, “We were putting our flags away and he stepped up to everybody and said, ‘Hey, are you guys done?’ and we looked up and we were like, ‘Oh my God, that’s LeBron James. No, no, no, we’re not done, we’re not done.’”
According to Eduardo, James was as impressive with a football as he is on the basketball court, explaining, “There were like three people in front of him. He reached his arm up and tapped the ball, spun around the offensive player, caught the ball and ran it back for a touchdown.”
Despite the fame, the fortune, and the increasing notoriety, it’s good to see that King James is still just one of the guys.
