Haute 100 Update: LeBron James to Play in Star-Studded Exhibition Game for Charity

Miami Heat superstar LeBron James is set to participate in a star-studded summer league exhibition game in Baltimore at Morgan State University tonight at 7 pm. He’ll hit the court with the likes of the New York Knicks’ Carmelo Anthony and the New Orleans Hornets’ Chris Paul as his teammates.
“With the lockout, it was a very good idea for us to do this, because a lot of NBA players are looking to play basketball,” said Kurk Lee, head of Anthony’s Melo Center in Baltimore. “They can’t be on practice facilities. They are looking to play summer league ball.”
100 $28 tickets to the exhibition were made available last week and sold out swiftly – in less than a day. In order to limit the risk of people selling counterfeit tickets, fans can pay admission at the door when they open at 6 pm on a first-come-first-serve basis for $40 for general admission and $100 for floor seats – with thousands anticipated to attend and the proceeds from ticket sales to benefit various charities.
Anthony will play on a stacked team that features his friends James and Paul, San Antonio guard Gary Neal, Sacramento forward Donte Greene, Memphis guard Josh Selby, Los Angeles Clippers guard Eric Bledsoe, and former New York and Chicago heavyweight Eddy Curry.
Kevin Durant will be on the opposing team, along with Boston forward Jeff Green, Sacramento center DeMarcus Cousins, Milwaukee guard Brandon Jennings, Denver guard Ty Lawson, Wizards forward Trevor Booker, Detroit forward Austin Daye, Lakers second round pick Ater Majok, former Syracuse player Arinze Onuaku, Anthony “Gumby” Williams and Omar Weaver. Michael Beasley broke his wrist while in China, but is expected to suit up for the game if he is feeling up to it.
