Save the Date: Brunello Cucinelli to Celebrate His Bal Harbour Boutique with a Private Event

By now most of South Florida’s admirers of luxury cashmere clothing have probably been to the new Brunello Cucinelli boutique in Bal Harbour but one very important person still has not;  Mr. Brunello Cucinelli himself. Due to scheduling conflicts he was unable to come when the store officially opened its doors a while back but he will make his first trip to South Florida at the end of the month to personally celebrate the opening with a private event to be held on March 31.

The fete will be an elegant, A-list affair co-hosted by several of Haute Living’s Haute 100 and Miami power couples like Leticia and Miky Grendade, Jennifer and Gary Nader and Carole and Oscar Seikaly. It will be held at the Bal Harbour boutique giving guests the opportunity to sip cocktails, mingle and shop his Spring/Summer 2011 collection.

The celebrating does not end there for Mr. Cucinelli who will be donating 10 percent of the boutique’s sales throughout the first weekend in April to Jackson Memorial Foundation’s Guardian Angels. The Jackson Memorial Foundation’s Guardian Angels helps provide medical care to the Holtz Children’s hospital making the pleasure of buying any of the silky, soft cashmere pieces even more satisfying.

Brunello Cucinelli’s quest to help others and his community  has been a lifelong passion and can be seen as early as 1985 when he purchased a 14th century castle in the small village of Solomeo in Umbria that had fallen into disrepair as his company’s headquarters. The painstaking task of repairing and restoring the castle and helping the surrounding village and its inhabitants continues to drive Cucinelli as part of the company’s profits continuously go to improving his employees working conditions, the local community, and a variety of other causes all fulfilling his dream of creating a “humanistic company” that makes “work more humane and puts humans at its center.”

The Bal Harbour location is the fifth in the United States for Brunello Cucinelli with other stores located in some of the country’s most desirable and luxurious zip codes such as New York’s West Village, East Hampton, Las Vegas and Beverly Hills.
