Miami City Ballet Closes the Season with John Cranko’s Romeo and Juliet

It’s been a busy month for the Miami City Ballet as they draw their 25 year anniversary season to a close.
The month kicked off with an exclusive luncheon on March 2 at Neiman Marcus Merrick Park toasting the ballet’s silver anniversary followed by a fashion show featuring Fendi’s spring 2011 collection. Attendees included some of Miami’s best known art patrons and philanthropists including Miami City Ballet Board of Governors President Ana Codina Barlick, Grand Honorary Chairman Gerri LeBow, Gala Chairman Bobi Eroncig, and MCB Founder Toby Lerner Ansin. Images from the luncheon and fashion show are below.
This weekend premieres John Cranko’s “Romeo and Juliet” closing out the month and another successful season with one of the world’s greatest romances. On March 25 there will be a pre-reception cocktail sponsored by GRAFF, followed by the premiere of “Romeo and Juliet” at the Sanford and Dolores Ziff Ballet Opera House. The night ends with a VIP gala dinner featuring culinary treats by Barton G in the Knight Concert Hall.
If you are unable to make the March 25 performance, the show will go on at the Adrienne Arsht Center for the Performing Arts through Sunday, March 27 before moving to the Kravitz Center for the Performing Arts in West Palm Beach from April 1 – April 3 and finishing up in Ft. Lauderdale with a stop at the Broward Center for the Performing Arts from April 29 – May 1.
And if you are still hungry for more from the Miami City Ballet remember that there is always Paris in July.
