Haute Event: Hearts After Dark Fundraiser Raises Money for San Francisco General Hospital Foundation
by Rachel Taylor

As the sun went down across San Francisco, hearts continued to pour support into the honorable San Fransisco General Hospital (SFGH) Foundation, following an already successful day of fundraising at the Hearts & Heroes Luncheon held at Union Square. Hours earlier, heart-inspired artwork was displayed and local community heros where honored with awards for their outstanding community contributions towards aiding awareness and support for SFGH and Trauma center patient’s cares and needs.
Under a star-filled sky a new generation of San Franciscans continued to follow in their community ‘Heroes’ footsteps and add to the success of the foundations cause at the 2nd annual Hearts after Dark fundraiser. Partygoers grooved their way at the tented event to the sounds of DJ Solomon and Chris Clouse and sipped delicious cocktails all the while bringing more awareness to the importance of community support for such great causes as what the SFGH foundation continues to dedicate themselves to.
SFGH and Trauma center itself tends every year to 1 in 8 San Francisco residents and nearly 100,000 people are treated at SFGH for trauma, psychiatric, and emergency services. SFGH is also one of the nation’s top tertiary academic medical centers which conducts clinical training and research to providing support in the efforts to improve care and comfort of patients.
As the night came to a close and guests left with their hearts full and inspired, the SFGH foundation was able to add another great success story of celebrating life saving programs and inspiring the younger community to partake in its cause.
Proceeds from the tickets sold for hearts after dark directly benefited the SFGH foundation. Donations are accepted year round. For more information on SFGH and Trauma centrer and their cause go to their website.
