There are many things that make the holidays feel official, there are also many traditional holidays fixtures that bring forth the beauty, elegance and magic that the holiday season is known for. One of those things is a beautiful light display, the whimsy, hard work and dedication that goes into putting on and planning a holiday light display is something that always gets me firmly in the mood to spread my brand of Christmas cheer to everyone around me. Now through January 2, you can experience Shadrack’s Christmas Wonderland at the Gwinnett County Fairgrounds. This drive-through holiday spectacular is the perfect family-friendly event that parents and kids of all ages will enjoy as it expertly displays the beauty of the season through a breathtaking light extravaganza.
The mesmerizing light show features synchronized music that creates a phenomenal “dancing” effect that provides the illusion of movement sure to dazzle attendees as they view it from the comfort of their vehicles. But, if you thought the fun simply stops at the light show then you would be wrong. Guests will also have the opportunity to exit their cars and enjoy several family-friendly events that include: a real live construction of Santa’s Village complete with a campfire featuring roasted marshmallows, delicious carnivals eats and personalized one on one visits with Santa himself. There are also tons of activities sure to keep the kids busy and entertained, including a petting zoo and pony rides.
Shadrack’s Christmas Wonderland commences daily from 6 to 10 p.m. Admission is $25 per car or van. To avoid heavy vehicle pileup it is recommended that attendees arrive at least a half an hour early to ensure that their light show experience is a fulfilling one.
