On August 8, 2010 Mayu McCartt hosted a trunk show in Mill Valley, CA for her new jewelry line, Mayu Bijoux. The event was held in a home garden, which served as the perfect backdrop for the lusciously colorful line. Everything from her cocktail rings to her silk cuffs and tear drop earrings were available for purchase at a special trunk show price.

Guests were treated with wine and lemonade cocktails as well as tasty desserts and cheese platters. McCartt was on hand to discuss her line as well as assist guests in picking out the perfect pieces for themselves and loved ones.

Each of McCartt’s trinkets is specially handcrafted. The painstaking efforts of assembling these jewels are evident in their careful details. Each piece displayed looked equally gorgeous and it took me some time to determine which of her gorgeous items I would purchase. I finally settled on the “Lauren” necklace.

The trunk show was a huge success as most of her items were sold that afternoon. The next stop for the Mayu Bijoux camp is a trunk show in New York. The August 19, 2010 event is being held at the Jen Huang studio, located at 19 E.65^th, Suite 4A from 6p.m.to 9p.m. Items from the Mayu Bijoux line can also be purchased through their website at www.mayubijoux.com.
