1 Blaine's Color
Calling Blaine of Blaine's Color a "stylist" seems a bit benign, so I am going to equate him to the Godfather of hair care (see photo.) His little nook inside the Park Cities salon is where he creates the most magical colors, which he invents himself, along with a slew of great take-home products (my fave: dry shampoo. A must for a girl on the go.)

2 Dear Clark
Holly Dear and Kaycee Clark's Uptown studio is clearly one of the best bets in Dallas. The stylists are virtually flawless in their craft, champagne is always on hand, and they always trim my bangs for nuthin' when I start to get shaggy. Could you ask for anything else?

3 Matthew Tully
Besides the fact that Matthew Tully is, well, kind of gorgeous, his salon is pretty good looking too. Working alongside wife Tania, Tully makes sure to consult clients himself, before and after cuts, to ensure every guest walks out looking and feeling sublime. Bring your checkbook though: no cc's in this place.

What space can claim itself a salon, art gallery, and special events venue? Trio. Known as one of the oldest buildings still standing in Uptown (in Texas that may be as old as 50!), Trio offers hair cuts and colors, free consultations and makeup artistry, so you'll look great for that party later on, held at the same location.

5 Salon Lucien
Newly opened in the Park Cities neighborhood, Salon Lucien is conveniently located to Starbucks so you can get a mocha and a makeover. Complimentary valet parking, top-of-the-line products like Australian/vegan line Kevin Murphy and quality stylists are just a few of the bonuses you will find here. Hint: ask for Austin, best haircut ever.
