The Beauty of Market America
by Loren Ridinger

It has been my experience that women—no matter their financial situations—enjoy an indulgence. Whether that be splurging on a manicure/pedicure or eating the last bite of a warm chocolate cake, we are all guilty of enjoying the finer things. I have found that women of all types are inclined to spend on beauty products that they love and know deliver results. During this difficult recession, I have introduced brands through Market America that have appealed to those women with a taste for both luxury and value. This is why Motives by Loren Ridinger, Matriskin, Cellular Laboratories, Loren Jewels, and the many other brands I have had the privilege to build have been so successful. In just 12 months, our cosmetics sector hit $12 million in wholesale sales; our new skin care line, Matriskin, is nearing $10 million; and Loren Jewels, our new luxe jewelry business, is doing tremendously. My fragrance, MINE, has sold out four times in the six months since its launch. But as a consumer I know that it is not statistics that encourage ladies to purchase new products; it is their reputation for producing exceptional results, as well as their affordability.

This is just the beginning for the brands under our umbrella of beauty and lifestyle products. I will continue to work with top-tier creatives and industry experts to launch products in hair care, hair extensions, and more revolutionary skin care products—to be enjoyed by both men and women alike. With the introduction of such affordable luxuries, all of us can learn to indulge ourselves without feeling an ounce of guilt.

Motives by Loren Ridinger

With growing success from the re-launch in 2009, Motives by Loren Ridinger continues to bring cutting-edge technologies, the latest trends, and unique, must-have items to the market. Some of our key items include:

Makeup Setting Sprays Along with 10 Years Younger, which has been one of our best sellers since its launch, Motives introduced No More Shine makeup setting spray at the Miami World Conference in January 2010. This no-fuss spray allows for fewer touch-ups during the day, resulting in beautiful, oil-free skin that won’t smudge.
