01 · Executive Summary

Three Schools. One Corridor.
The Rest Catching Up.

Florida's private school AI landscape is not a bell curve. It is a cliff. Three institutions — Pine Crest, Ransom Everglades, and Oxbridge — operate at a level that rivals the top schools nationally. Then the drop begins.

Of the 43 Florida private schools audited for this index, only 3 qualify as Tier A — scoring above 86 on the AI Index. All three sit in a 70-mile corridor between Fort Lauderdale and West Palm Beach. Pine Crest School leads the state at 92.8, with a Post-AP AI course, a named AI specialist role, and the neXt Innovation Institute — a faculty training program that serves other schools. Ransom Everglades follows at 90.2, distinguished by the AIRE Task Force (weekly cross-departmental AI governance) and a master's-level Machine Learning course. Oxbridge Academy rounds out the Tier A group at 86.0 — the only Florida school to name AI as a formal Signature Program on equal footing with its other marquee offerings.

The remaining 40 schools — 15 Tier B and 25 Tier C — have meaningful STEM infrastructure but have not yet made AI a named, structured curriculum element. The gap between Tier A and the rest is not incremental. It is structural. For families prioritizing AI literacy as part of luxury living and long-term human capital investment, the geography of Florida's top schools maps closely onto its most valued real estate markets.

06 · Key Findings

Five Things the
Data Tells Us

  1. The 70-Mile Corridor Dominates

All three Tier A schools — Pine Crest (Fort Lauderdale, 92.8), Ransom Everglades (Miami, 90.2), and Oxbridge (West Palm Beach, 86.0) — sit in a single corridor running from Coconut Grove north to West Palm Beach. This is not coincidental. It maps directly onto the highest-density luxury real estate market in Florida. The schools serving the most affluent families are receiving the investment in AI curriculum that lower-market schools have not yet made. For families relocating to Florida who prioritize AI education, this corridor is the answer.

  2. The Gap Between Tier A and Everyone Else Is Structural

The jump from Oxbridge (#3, 86.0) to American Heritage Broward (#4, 74.8) is 11.2 points — the largest single drop between any two consecutive ranks in the index. The gap between #3 and #43 (Calvary Christian, 42.4) is 43.6 points. Tier B schools have STEM strength, robotics, and CS electives, but lack the defining feature of Tier A: AI as a named, institutionally owned curriculum commitment. Pine Crest's Post-AP AI course, Ransom's master's-level ML course, and Oxbridge's AI Signature Program represent a qualitatively different category of educational investment.

  3. Ransom Everglades Wins Cross-Disciplinary Integration

In the Cross-Disciplinary Integration sub-category — where AI is woven across non-CS subjects — Ransom Everglades scores 94.0, edging Pine Crest (90.0). The AIRE Task Force convenes weekly across departments, meaning AI is not a CS department project but a school-wide operating principle. For families seeking AI literacy that goes beyond coding — students who will work in law, medicine, finance, or creative fields — Ransom Everglades' integration model may matter more than a single Post-AP course.

  4. Orlando and Tampa Have Scale Without Depth

Orlando (7 schools, avg 55.0) and Tampa (6 schools, avg 54.2) are Florida's third and fourth largest private school markets by school count — but neither has a Tier A school. Both markets have strong STEM programs, robotics, maker spaces, and engineering programs. What they lack is AI as a named institutional commitment. Berkeley Preparatory (Tampa, 69.2) and Montverde Academy (Orlando, 63.2) lead their respective markets and rank in the top 15 statewide — but the distance from them to the Tier A schools in the southeast corridor remains significant.

  5. AI Curriculum Is Becoming a Luxury Real Estate Factor

The overlap between Florida's highest-scoring AI schools and its most valuable real estate markets is precise. Fort Lauderdale (avg AI 62.2) and Palm Beach (avg 61.7) both track among the highest-performing luxury real estate markets in our monthly index. Miami (avg AI 60.9) hosts the most $2M+ active listings in South Florida. The correlation is not causal — but for UHNW families making relocation decisions, it is real. Access to top-tier AI education is increasingly part of the luxury lifestyle calculation, alongside waterfront access, tax environment, and private aviation proximity.

How does Florida compare to New York and Los Angeles for private school AI?

+

Florida's top-ranked school, Pine Crest (92.8), is competitive with the top schools in the Haute Living NYC-LA Private School AI Curriculum Index. Florida is also unique in having a school (Oxbridge Academy) that names AI as a formal Signature Program at the institutional brand level — a distinction not found in the NYC or LA cohort.
