Turning one year older doesn’t get better than this. The Tenderloin Neighborhood Development Corporation (TNDC) celebrated their 32nd birthday, marking yet another year of invaluable service to the San Francisco community.

Through the years, TNDC has touched countless lives providing affordable housing and services for low-income people in the Tenderloin and throughout San Francisco.

Hundreds of supporters were on hand for the festivities at the Grand Ballroom at the Hilton San Francisco Union Square. The fun-filled birthday featured cocktails, dinner, a heartwarming program emceed by ABC7 anchor Cheryl Jennings, dancing with live entertainment by George Cole – Gypsy-Jazz & Uptown Swing, and DJ Rafa S, a special rendition of “Happy Birthday” sung by a cast member of Beach Blanket Babylon and the annual presentation of the Brother Kelly Cullen Community Award.

This year, the Award went to the University of California Hastings College of the Law, who was recognized for providing student tutors to the children at our Tenderloin After-School Program for the past ten years, as well as their commitment to civil justice for the poor and elderly through their Civil Justice Clinic and their Medical Legal Partnership for Seniors programs.
