SoHo House: An Urban Oasis in the Heart of New York City

Living in the vast urban sprawl that is New York City can be exhausting: never ending flows of pedestrians, racing taxis, clattering construction.  It can really take a toll and sometimes you just have to relax and take a vacation, or as SoHo House calls it, a staycation.

The meatpacking districts most exclusive members only club is just the place for a staycation.  The rooftop is an urban oasis, allowing members, and guests who book a stay in one of the 24 bedrooms, to lounge by the pool, watch films from the outdoor cinema, dance in the moonlight to one of the city’s top DJ’s or just soak up rays on one of the lounge chairs.

The Roof at SoHo House also has a restaurant that rivals some of the best in the city but at a much more affordable price-the perks of being a member.

Not nearly relaxing enough you say?  Try the Cowshed Spa where you can get a myriad of massage treatments, facials, beauty treatments as well as a relaxing eucalyptus steam room.

Once your all rejuvenated make sure to check out SoHo House’s 6th floor.  The floor recently underwent renovations and now, with the help of curators Johnny Yeo and Francesca Gavin, it has turned into a hip Contemporary Art exhibit showcasing famed and up-and-coming New York artists such as Lawrence Weiner, Shepherd Fairey, Slater Bradley and Taryn Simon.

The fine art adds a new dimension to the lounge and restaurant area on the 6th floor, which has been a favorite spot for celebrities staying at the club.
