The Queen’s Super Sweet-Sixty: The Stafford London To Host Diamond Jubilee Party

“Sweet Sixteens” are chump change compared to what they have in London this June 3.  Londoners and all lovers of the Queen will head to a Union Jack covered street festival next door to Buckingham Palace to celebrate Queen Elizabeth II’s super sweet sixty-year reign.

The Stafford London by Kempinski will host the Diamond Jubilee Party, which will be a nostalgic ode to England’s history as street parties are common for coronations, and royal weddings.

The party is chock full of events including the Thames Diamond Jubilee Pageant where over 1,000 boats gather on the River Thames in preparation for the Queen.  And the Jazz trio, “Rio Trio” will be playing tunes all afternoon.

What’s a party without food and drink?  Executive Chef Brendan Fyldes put together a menu highlighting all that is good about British fare.  Including, spiced lobster, traditional pulled pork sandwiches, spit roasted meats, diamond-inspired cookies and fennel cocktails.

Tickets for the event cost £100 per person and include all food and beverage.  Reservations are required as well as a dress code, which is party appropriate.  The festivities begin around noon and wind down by 6pm.
