Move over Fashion Week, there’s a new girl in town and she’s here for one night only. She’s full of style, energy and attracts New York’s finest. Introducing Fashion’s Night Out, a celebrated evening of style and star-studded events, crafted to support the fashion and retail industries around the world. Tonight, for the third year in a row, designers, models, fashion editors, celebrities, fashionistas and socialites gather throughout New York City for fashion’s sake. Like a haute Halloween for jet-set adults, this year’s Fashions Night Out will undoubtedly include a who’s who of New York, dressed to the nines and roaming the streets from party to party, satisfying their fashion cravings. From exclusive, limited edition items to DJs, photo booths and more, we’ve rounded up the can’t-miss events of this year’s Fashion’s Night Out.

Barneys New York

The luxury specialty retaile venue will be participating in Fashion’s Night Out by donating 10 percent of its Madison Avenue flagship store’s sales and 10 percent of its Barneys.com sales from the entire day and evening to the National September 11 Memorial & Museum. This year marks the tenth anniversary of the September 11th attacks and Barneys New York will commemorate this significant date through a fashionable donation to this worthy cause.

Stop by for the BG Best In Show, the second annual designer dog show, as your favorite designers and their canine companions stroll the third floor catwalk with host James Aguiar and guest judges Georgina Chapman and Keren Craig of Marchesa, Santiago Gonzalez, and blogger Tina Craig of The Bags Snob. Dance to the music by Johnny Dynell and a live musical performance by Audrianna Cole while you rub shoulders with designer guests Alexandra Vidal, Badgley Mischka, Bibhu Mohapatra, Cushnie et Ochs, John Barrett, Joseph Altuzarra, Kimberly McDonald, Laurence Dacade, Lela Rose, Nicholas Varney, Pamella Roland, Reem Acra and Wes Gordon. Celebrate Fashion’s Night Out with a special book signing of Vogue: The Covers by Dodie Kazanjian, with a special foreword by Hamish Bowles. In addition, 10 percent of all purchases made on the evening will be donated to the Burberry Foundation, a philanthropic organization dedicated to helping young people realize their dreams and potential through the power of their creativity.

Wild and fantastical wig creations will adorn the store windows while inside, guests are invited to add a little flair to their hair with the help of talented stylists from Frederic Fekkai who will be on hand to pin, tuck, brush and clip your hair with beautiful and colorful flowers to further add to the celebratory spirit of the evening. On Fashion’s Night Out, the famous luxury design house will present “Atelier Fendi,” an exhibition of images from the Fall/Winter 2011 ad campaign shot by industry icon Karl Lagerfeld. Rosita, Teresa and Francesco Missoni will be making a special appearance in New York to host a cocktail party in celebration of Fashion’s Night Out.  The Madison Avenue boutique will have limited edition Missoni headbands and ties for purchase. While guests mingle with Madison Avenue’s finest shoppers, special Missoni cocktails will keep the party going and have you seeing techno-color zigzags around the store.

Step into the future of beauty with Silver Odyssey, a coupling of two exclusive products, via Crispi Larger Than Life long-wear eyeliner and Space Odyssey nail polish created in honor of Fashion’s Night Out. Unique and richly pigmented, the metallic silvery hues are celebrated with an iconic visual by Guy Bourdin, which will be displayed at the NARS flagship boutique. One of the most significant fashion photographers of the 20th Century, Bourdin is a favorite photographer of NARS founder and creative director, François Nars who will also be attending the event.

For Fashion Night’s Out, supermodel Jessica Stam will host a chic and glamorous cocktail party. Guests will have a chance to pose in a studio booth with Stam and instantly share the pictures via Twitter, Facebook and e-mail. Enjoy cocktails and hors d’oeuvres while grooving to a performance by Jeanne Marine, Bob Geldof’s girlfriend, and the Swinging Frogs. The first 200 hundred shoppers will be the lucky recipients of Jeanne Marine’s CD. The cover was sketched by designer Bruno Frisoni.

On the second floor, from 6-8 p.m., Stella McCartney models will show off the latest looks while guests use digital Polaroid cameras to capture personal moments with the models which can then be uploaded to the Stella McCartney and Saks Facebook pages, and the link sent to guests so they can tag themselves. Unique Stella truffles will be handed out to guests as well. In addition, Saks will celebrate luxury brand Pringle of Scotland with personal appearances by designer Alistair Carr, as well as actress Tilda Swinton, Louise Wilson from Central Saint Martin, famed jewelry designer Waris Ahluwalia and photographer Ryan McGinley.

On the third floor, bring out your creative side with designer Christian Cota who will be collaborating in digital painting with guests and signing painting prints from 6-7 p.m. You can also expect personal appearances from designer Prabal Gurung from 7:30-8 p.m.  on the third floor and Doo Ri from 8-9 p.m.

On the fourth floor is the official Fashion’s Night Out Blogger Lounge, happening all night. On the fifth floor, experience DJ Questlove who will be spinning while guests can DIY hair wraps with Erica Domesek of P.S. I Made This and Chris Lospalluto of the Sally Hershberger Salon. Additionally, Rebecca Minkoff and The Man Repeller, Leandra Medine will host the Hair Braiding Bar from 6-8 p.m. where you can personalize your braid with strips of Rebecca Minkoff leather. Once you transform your hair, have your nails done by manicurist Lisa Logan from Minx Nails as she will be applying prints on nails at Marc by Marc Jacobs from 6-9 p.m. Also on the fifth floor, learn to surf with Yigal Azrouël’s new line, Cut 25 and snag a pair of custom jeans by J. Brand all night long. Just when you thought there couldn’t possibly be more fun in one store, Ne-Yo will perform one of his chart-topping hits and autograph purchases from his exclusive hat collection.

Celebrate with Zac Posen at the Meatpacking District’s block party as he blasts tunes with DJ Jus Ske and watch an artist at work as Curtis Kulig designs a Fashion’s Night Out graffiti masterpiece on Scoop’s windows. Shoppers receive a customized gift from Birchbox with a purchase of $150 or more. Also, be one of the first 50 customers to check out Yosi Samra’s flats at the Street Store and get a free pair.

With Fashion Week almost here, the who’s who in New York needs a way to organize one of the busiest weeks of the year. Leave it to Smythson to create the most chic solution. On FNO, Smythson will launch the must-have “Runway Notes” Fashion Week notebook. In addition, their new complimentary in-house monogrammer/goldstamper will be on-site to personalize the book of your fashionable life. Guests can sip on VeeV Acai Vodka while they take a snapshot in the custom photo booth. Bring a copy home and tag yourself on Facebook, live from the store. On the way out enjoy a pretzel at the gourmet fresh pretzel cart, available to Stella guests only. There will be a fun raffle to win an exclusive Fashion’s Night Out shirt signed by Stella. In addition, Stella has created a special gold charm bracelet, exclusive to Stella McCartney stores for this special night.
