New Patio for Innovative Cocktail Creator Four Lounge

If you’re a plain Jane drinker, you should think about skipping Four Lounge. As uptown’s specialty cocktail haven, it seems reasonable that the location should be understated in its swankiness, which is why it was so easy to miss Four Lounge entirely if you weren’t looking directly for it (it’s behind State and Allen, next to the barber shop, by the way.)

Party goers just got luckier, however, with the new spacious patio that was built to house Four Lounge’s discerning patrons. You’ll find comfy couches and chairs, candlelight and white Christmas lights, but wait for another month or two for the flat screens to pop up.

Just in case you haven’t yet visited, the cocktail menu at Four Lounge reads like a Willy Wonka advertisement. Serving original and sometimes strange concoctions, owner and mixologist Keith LaBonte makes it his mission to constantly update his menu with seasonal and trendy drinks along with some of his newest ideas. Some of the latest: an Old Fashioned infused with molasses and syrup made from reduced maple bacon; a Velvet Cupcake martini made with a Whoopi Pie from Society Bakery shaken to oblivion; as well as an assortment of flavored glasses of champagne like lavender and red bell pepper. A hint for ladies: check in to Four Lounge with four friends or more with a complimentary bottle of champagne.
