Today we are looking at Lea & Roy Black as the former makes headlines as one of the newly minted stars of The Real Housewives of Miami.

What MADE them Haute: He made a name for himself as one of the best criminal defense lawyers in the country, representing superstar athletes, political pundits, and Hollywood celebrities. She is the powerhouse fundraiser for Bay Point Schools, one of Florida’s award-winning boarding schools for at-risk adolescent boys. Together they fight for social justice through their annual charity gala, which has raised more than $10 million for Bay Point Schools and the Consequences Program.
What Makes Them Haute Now: First and foremost there is the announcement that Lea will be joining the cast of Bravo’s Miami chapter of their hit Real Housewives franchise. The recently announced show is set to premiere on Feb. 22 (10 p.m. ET) on Bravo and the Texas-bred philanthropist along with her husband are both set to be major players. The two will be joined by other housewives Adriana Sidi, Alexia Echevarria, Larsa Pippen, and Cristy Rice.
Since we last touched based with her, Lea has continued to ardently support President Obama and raise her 9-year-old son while also acting as CEO to her own private enterprise firm and pursuing her true passion– her philanthropic endeavors. The most notable of these is The Black’s Annual Gala which benefits The Consequences Charity, Foundation and a host of other not for profit concerns, is set to take place at the Eden Roc Renaissance Miami Beach on April 2nd and is certain to be featured on the show.
