William Randolph Hearst III

CATEGORY: Billionaires

COMPANY: Hearst Corporation

INDUSTRY: Media

WHAT MAKES HIM HAUTE: There is little that can be said about the background of William Randolph Hearst—the first, second, and third—that has not been covered countless time already. William III is haute because the Hearst family name is an undying part of American history books. His grandfather was a publishing legend and his father was a U.S. Senator who became owner of the San Francisco Examiner thanks to a lucky hand of poker. He is one of the anointed few that are affiliated with Kleiner Perkins Caufield & Byers, which he joined in 1995. For the decade before that, he spent his days as the editor and publisher of the Examiner.

  1. I can’t thank you enough for the articles on your web-site. I know you add a lot of time and energy into all of them and really hope you know how considerably I appreciate it. I hope I am able to do precisely the same man or woman at some time.

I think Mr, Hearst should mae it his business to help the Native Americanns of the Black Hills in South Dakota to pay reparations and help them with housing, food and education. For years his family has made plenty of money going back to William Randolph Hearst(my grandfather Was John Wesley Hamer , his personal Secretary), and I know because my grandfather received Edwad Curtis photos as a gift from his grandfather or Great grandfather, that he must have liked Native Americans as he hired Curtis to photograph them , one , the most famous was called the “Vanishing Race” possibly he did like them , but planned for their eventuial demise, I cannot say but I hope he was a better man than that!! All I know is my greatgrandmother passed the photos onto me, eventually I sold them, as I could no longer care for them properly, but Mr. Hearst I think does have an obligation to help the Native Americans of The Black Hills where their sacred landsere destroyed, it should be priority number one, that he and his family make amends to The Lakota. I hope he will read this and join me to help them and all Native Americans, who are the pooret in “our country” which is really theirs! There are 2 Million Native Americans Nation wide. It would be a start to help th Lakota , but Mr Hearsy could really use his power to encourage others to pay reparations to all Native Americans, at least to assure their basic needs , housing , education, health and welfare. His family has lived high off their “hog” as all of us Non Natives who came here have too. We cannot let their languages, their unnerstanding of this country and Nature slip away! They kept this country in good conditions for aboit 14,000 yrs!! It has taken the rest of us less than 400 yrs to nearly destroy it all! We need to start listening to them, before it is too late! For us all! Thanks for reading, check me out on Facebook, I am Lucy Baker
