From Aug. 30 through Sept. 5, you can celebrate Restaurant Week Las Vegas, the chance to dine out at more than 80 of Las Vegas’ popular establishments at discounted prices to raise money to benefit Three Square – a nonprofit organization in Las Vegas working to end hunger in Southern Nevada. The first thing you notice about Red O is the décor—it practically demands your attention. As envisioned by designer Gulla Jonsdottir (a former associate of Dodd Mitchell), the dining and bar interiors juggle tradition and modernity, celebration and intrigue with a dance of textures and colors, and continually emerging surprises, such as the swinging chairs and daybed in the main bar, retracting ceiling and walls of the patio room, Moorish ottomans and one-carved-piece wood bar in the lounge past the Tequila tunnel.  [...read more]

Marcus Samuelsson, the recently crowned Top Chef Masters Winner in the second installment of the Bravo culinary competition is headed home to Chicago to host a BBQ Bootcamp with fellow executive chef Nicole Pederson, and pastry chef Toni Roberts.
