Thanks to a longstanding gentleman's agreement, followed by that silly William Penn curse we eradicated a few years back (ahem, Go Phillies, ahem), the Philly skyline is nice and trim. You can actually see each of the beautiful scrapers -- from the classic twin peaks of the Liberty buildings to the iridescent top of the Comcast Center -- and the older brick facades below. Take it all in from one of these top vantage points. We can't guarantee you lover's lane, but we can promise a lovely view.   [...read more]

Philadelphia has been wanting for a good hotel bar. The Four Seasons Hotel Philadelphia's Swann Lounge is lovely, but perhaps a bit too formal for a truly good time. The Ritz-Carlton, Philadelphia lost its great Vault space when 10 Arts arrived (although the restaurant's bar is quite a good time). The Sofitel is aiming to change this oversight, by upgrading its already popular lobby lounge into the luxurious new Liberté, opening today.  [...read more]
