If there’s one thing that competes with the size of your hair in Dallas, it’s the size of your bling. This week, there will be two types of viewers scrutinizing the Masters: those who have traditionally followed the dignified legacy of the event, and those who don’t give a chip about golf, but who are irresistibly drawn to the scandalous tabloid coverage of the exploits of the sport’s golden child. So I was getting my hair done yesterday and, like most stylist/client relationships, we spent the entirety of the session gossiping. While there was talk about love lives and the economic climate, there was one highlight that stuck in my memory. She never goes north of 635.” Wait what?   [...read more]

The eyes may be the first thing people notice, but the feet are the last. This includes you, Y-chromosomers. They may not be your most appealing feature but feet do count, and now that Spring has sprung it’s definitely time to retire those boot-ready babes because now it is foot-flaunting weather. So before you enjoy that stroll through the Arboretum or commit to that afternoon sandal-shopping at Neiman’s, consider visiting one of the places below for a tootsie tune-up.  [...read more]

Now that the weather in Dallas is finally warming up (snow in March proves that Hell has in fact frozen over), it’s time to enjoy the sun-splashed patios of our city's culinary hotspots, especially on that particular day and time when the world gets a little quieter and the mimosas flow freely—Sunday brunch. However, after taking a tour around a friend's new sprawling downtown terrace (makes Taverna’s patio look like an outdoor closet), I had to ask myself: Would brunch not be that much sweeter if enjoyed with friends in the comfort of your own home?  [...read more]
