A never before seen original drawing by Roy Lichtenstein has been placed on auction at the Post-War and Contemporary Art Evening Sale on May 11th at Christie’s New York. This masterpiece, entitled Kiss V, is estimated to sell between $800,000-1,200,000. Made with graphite and wax crayon on paper, this drawing was found in the previous owner’s locker after buying a lottery ticket for $10. This unique piece of history captures the jaw dropping beauty and cultural melting pot of New York City during its revolutionary transformation in the 1960’s.  [...read more]
