Today, the word "drape" is practically synonymous with the design aesthetic of Lanvin's designer, Alber Elbaz. However, long before Elbaz there was Alix Gres, the expert in draping who was more commonly known as Madame Gres.  [...read more]

The retail locale consists of Art Deco architectural design with an essence of 1930s and 1940s décor glamour paired down by playful trinkets (i.e. playing card sets, sprinkles of animal print accents, and delicate porcelain dolls). Design hotspots include a colorful shoe wall, chic glass display fixtures, small clusters of lounge furnishings, and last but not least, a secluded Made-To-Measure nook located at the end of a mirrored corridor. Various Lanvin collections can found, such as women’s, men’s, swim, accessories, and even the bridal collection, Blanche.  [...read more]

There are many different aspects of femininity that a woman strives to reach within her lifestyle. The impressive elegance of a classic lady. The straight conventional attitude, whilst still being able to coincide with a flowing nature of moderation. Designer collaborations of a high/low orientation have been all the rage for a while now. The shopping public waits with bated breath for news of who the next partner will be at retail giants like H&M, Target and Top Shop, which have been at the helm of this movement. They bring highly designed to the masses at an affordable price point. This morning H&M unveiled the next designer collaboration in what has been an exciting series of exclusive collections for them. Lanvin, the Parisian powerhouse considered on of the most influential brands of the 21st century, will create an exclusive collection of both womenswear and menswear that will sell in around 200 H&M stores beginning Nov. 20.  [...read more]

When you think of Lanvin, asymmetrical designs with cascades of volume and Duchesse satin come to mind. The design house helmed by Alber Elbaz favors cocktail dresses and finds red carpet time from the likes of Nicole Kidman and Jennifer Aniston. You can find the second U.S. location of fashion house at Crystals at CityCenter.   [...read more]
