Vogue editor-in-chief Anna Wintour is joining forces with Sarah Jessica Parker and Michelle Obama to raise money for Barack Obama’s presidential campaign with a dinner at Parker’s New York home, and you’re invited. Well, invited to enter a raffle to win a coveted seat anyways.
A video released by the Obama team on Friday shows the influential and somewhat feared editrix noting how her job at the pinnacle of the fashion industry lets her “meet some of the most incredible women in the world,” including Parker and the First Lady, who’ll be present at the table along with the Commander-in-Chief. The “two best seats in the house” for the June 14 dinner, valued at $1,900 a pop, can be yours if you donate $3 and sign your name up for the contest. Mocking her ice queen reputation upheld by films like “The Devil Wears Prada” and a legion of traumatized former assistants, Wintour ends the message with a stern warning: “Don’t be late.”
