Haute 100 NY Update: Amar’e Stoudemire Proposes to Alicia Welch in Paris
Amar’e Stoudemire proposed to girlfriend Alicia Welch in Paris on Sunday night, and quickly relayed the news to fans via Twitter. (Welch said yes.) It wasn’t the first recent life development the New York Knicks star tweeted–he also announced his enrollment in classes at the University of Miami on the social network last month.
“Paris, the food, & lights were very romantic. When she said yes, it was surreal. I’m still floating,” wrote the power forward and center. Stoudemire and his fiancée, who have been dating for 10 years, have three children together. The couple plans to marry in 2013.
