Quentin Tarantino, the man responsible for iconic films like Pulp Fiction, Reservoir Dogs and Kill Bill, is now giving other artists an opportunity to shine. In a promotional push for his upcoming effort, Django Unchained, the 49-year-old has announced an ‘emerging artist’ contest.
Tarantino will act as judge as he urges artists to create an original piece, whether it be “poster art, a funny GIF or a short film.” The contest requires each artist to include footage from the Djano Unchained trailer (which will be released later today) or one of the spaghetti westerns that inspired it. It must also include a song from a Red Bulls Records artist. Entries will be accepted from June 15-30; the winner will receive a trip to Comic-Con this July to meet the filmmaker.
Django Unchained stars Leonardo DiCaprio, Jamie Foxx and Christoph Waltz and will be released on Christmas day.
