Watching Renato

“Nothing short of perfection” is the term often heard about Renato Watches’ exquisite timepieces. Renato produces the ideal timepiece based on both quality and value, which has people across the globe asking, “Why opt for anything else?” Go ahead-Embrace the Beast Within You.
By Valentina Zuric
Their watches are conspicuous, their styles exclusive and chic. Renato Watches are a true expression of one’s personality, depicting the proper quintessence of what watch collecting is all about. And this says nothing about how unbelievable they look on the wrist!
When Renato co-founder Ovadia Levy, a watch collector and guru flourishing in the real estate business, teamed up with Daniel Mink, the overnight success of the combination led to a masterful company rooted in landmark design. The pair wanted to create an innovative and alluring look at time by breaking away from the regular watchmaker’s path to successful pieces. Levy explains, “We stunned the market” with the unleashing of the ‘Beast’-the company’s first timepiece-in October 2005. This original creation put Renato Watches on the map worldwide.
The awe-inspiring design challenged numerous brands around the world to answer the call of true watch collectors-the call for something different. With collections priced anywhere from $750-30,000, Renato Watches has sold tens of thousands of units to date. “There is too much demand for our watches,” explains Mink. “We can’t keep up, because not only are they hand made, they are hand assembled too.” In addition, each watch is individually numbered and limited in production.
Although top department stores are begging to carry the line, Renato Watches are sold exclusively with ShopNBC where they hold the rank of the second best-selling brand. This is because Renato Watches are crafted from only high-grade materials and utilize the highest quality Swiss movements. With components like customized slanted bezels imported from France, sapphire dome-shaped crystals, hand-selected mother of pearl carbon fiber and satin dials, and VS clarity and G color diamonds, these watches are exotic and incomparable when based on eminence and merit.
Not only does Renato boast similar movements as the pricier watch companies, they do so with a lower cost. Thanks in part to their excellent quality, Renato is able to keep overhead low, especially when it comes to advertising costs. It is simply unneeded-the watches speak for themselves, and the price savings are transferred to the customer. “Our goal is to keep the price of the watch down so people that love watches can purchase many-they don’t have to save or wait for their end of the year bonus to be able to afford such exquisite timepieces,” says Levy.
With the success of the company growing from what began with the men’s watch the ‘Beast,’ (which is complimented by the ladies’ ‘Beauty,’ a watch not only worn by Oprah herself but also endorsed in the highly selective “O List”), they recently launched the ‘T-Rex,’ ‘Wilde-Beast,’ ‘Cyclops,’ ‘Stallion,’ ‘Jackal,’ and ‘Vulcan.’ Along with the custom packaging, intricate details, and a solid five year warranty backed by a staff ready to care for each and every individual’s needs, Renato Watches are in demand, and radiantly beautiful too.

Renato watches , are the best design watches on the Market.
I own 15 Renato watches from Diamont to plain, and when I show them to
People their mouth drops when I tell them how much I pay for.
Recently I visit one of the Finest watch stores in 5th Ave. N.Y (WEMPE).
May the names of those wathes have some value, but for the Designs I’d
pay more then a 1.000 $.

Great value for watches under $500.,get attention. Problem third one I purchased had a link removed was a return they should be up front about something like this. You expect a new watch - are returns a problem in the watch industry ? I believe they are assembled in China and Renato gives up the impression that they are Swiss made (the mechanism is Swiss made?) As they grow and want to give the perception of being a quality product hire a Marketing Ex and Professional Customer Service people and QC people

I don’t know who gave you the impression Renato watches are assembled somewhere other than Switzerland. According to Daniel Mink, Renato watches are cased in Switzerland. The movements are genuine ETA Swiss Made calibres and the sapphire crystals are manufactured in Switzerland. As noted elsewhere, other subcomponents are outsourced to various countries including France where the diamond set bezels are produced.
Many online retailers like ShopNBC are in the habit of offering easy no-questions-asked returns, which has lead to the practice of selling these returns to customers as “new”. Without clear regulation of this practice, it isn’t likely to change any time soon. This will not be an issue for Renato watches going forward because the exclusivity deal with ShopNBC has expired. In the coming years Renator watches will be available from boutique watch retailers and Renato’s customer-direct marketing. To those who got into Renato during the days of TV deep discounts, congratulations.

They are nice but are a bit overpriced. Dials can be busy. They make very few, creating the illusion of demand. Forget the retail. Seiko’s are easily as if not more so high quality. These are a boutique type watch.

I own several Renato watches and they are fine for a lower end watch. To claim they are a luxury watch or “made in Switzerland” as posted at teh QVC website is a bit of a stretch in my personal opinion. For the most part they use a lower cost ETA Quartz G10 movement rather than the higher priced Ronda Movements or automatics.
There is an ongong debate in watch collector circles as to where the watches are actually made and the response from Renato has always been nebulas at best. They are a good value for the price point of $500 or less. If you pay much more than that I think there are far better choices out there. Currently the Renato webite has been down for several weeks and watches that were sold at ShopNBC are now being sold at almost 50% off the prices previously paid at that site.
Prana Gioia.com is not currently listing Renato on their site although previous press releases touted the relationship and I am curious as to the location of the Renato “showroom” in Downtown NYC.
I would hope this magazine in the future does some checking before just posting a press release.

i own a small watch collection numbering around 50 to date. only one of which is renato, though i do wish i owned more. it is very well built, the quality is obvious and i love the design, and yes i fully realize it is a quartz. more to the point anyone who buys a watch as an investment or as a means to flaunt disposable income is in my honest opinion misguided. a true watch collector or collector of any kind buys from the heart, looks at aspects such as design, quality, comfort and aesthitics. all these play a vital part in the selection process and more importantly the long term enjoyment of that product. furthermore i for one also prefer purchasing goods that aren’t owned by scores of other consumers. for example i drive a jaguar s., some pundints may not consider it to be the greatest jaguar available but nonetheless, for the price and other aspects previously addressed, it fits the bill perfectly for me. as for the poster who cited that there are better watch choices out there for more than the $500 price point, yes and no. over $10,000 there are a number of watches i would love to add to my collection. however under that figure, most are ugly, have no character whatsoever or are assembly line rolex or rolex impersonators which every tom, dick and harry car dealer and realtor owns, no offense intended. i prefer to stand out in a crowd not blend in with all the other sheep and my renato is one watch that clearly fits the bill.

My family and I own 46 Renato watches and counting. I find the watches spectacular, let us be honest. A man is judged by his shoes his watch and the name brand of his suit. Thus having a Renato on ones wrist shows one has arrived. Thus said the Renato brand makes a statement people are amazed at the weight and boldness of the watches. Does is really matter where the watch is made. My Ford is made in Canada but has parts from around the world would I not buy a Ford because it was not made in the USA that is just plain ridiculous. I called QVC today looking for another T-Rex Driver for my son and found Renato is no longer a vender partner. Why knock the brand, buy your watches elsewhere. I will put up a Renato to a Rolex any day. I took my T-Rex driver in to a high-end Jewelry store to have the watch sized. Before I could leave, the store the manager took me into his office, taking a Rolex out of the safe that just arrived selling price $10,500 now what does that tell you. This was the first time I had ever step foot into this store. Renato is a brand that stands alone!

I have Several Renato’s. Purchased on Shopnbc.
They are fabulous time pieces, beautiful and look like they required thousands for purchase.
They maintain excellent time, and carry a presence on the wrist like very few in the watch world.
The dial colors are vivid, show depth, and design creativity.
They look like no other watches out there, they create individual beauty on the wrist for the watch collector who is bored with others who copy and rehash to adnausium.
My jeweler exclaimed their diamonds are all they are rated to be on the card that comes with the diamond watches.
No other watch manufacturer has taken this step at all.
Cannot wait to see what else they create.
A must own watch, but you cannot just buy one.

Having purchased several Renato’s on Shopnbc, the comments abound from my jeweler, to curious onlookers who see these watches on my wrist.
They excude quality, specialty of design, superb packaging, and design imagination.
I own diamond models, Vulcans, and Wildebeasts, no one owns one Renato, it is not possible.
As an art museuum displays many works of art, I display Renato’s works of art on my wrist, and in my collection display box.
