Haute lister Pharrell Williams has received one of the greatest honors of his career and the ultimate symbol of recognition amongst his peers. The mogul will curate the music for the 84th annual Academy Awards, hosted by Billy Crystal, alongside Hans Zimmer on February 26. When ABC producers Brian Grazer and Don Mischer announced the exciting news in early December, it made Hollywood’s best night even more anticipated.

Tiffany & Co. Bal Harbour and director Debra Koch hosted an event to celebrate the supporters of The Buoniconti Fund to Cure Paralysis on January 18 with the unveiling of the Tiffany Leather Spring Collection.

Designers Richard Lambertson and John Truex crafted and presented the handbag collection to the foundation supporters, discussing the inspiration behind the designs ( made from exotic leathers) as well as the signifance of their collaboration with Tiffany’s iconic brand.

The select group of attendees included Barth A. Green, M.D, former NFL Miami Dolphins players Dick Anderson and Nick Buoniconti and many others who traveled from different corners of the world.

On Saturday January 21^st, Nikki Beach Miami is playing host to What Women Want, a highly anticipated fashion show featuring celebrity stylist Gerard Vallecello.

The show will include dazzling pieces from Spring 2012 collections, including looks by Oscar de la Renta, Versace and Michael de Paulo, who will be available for a meet-and-greet.

In addition, Vallecello will be offering guests complimentary styling tips between the hours of 7-8 p.m. Attendees will nosh on savory sweet bites at the show’s after party at Pearl Restaurant and Champagne Lounge.

Want to learn how to make Prime 112’s famous Hawaiian Tuna Poke? The steakhouse is sharing its secret recipe, step-by-step.

To prepare, Prime 112’s Executive Chef Mike Sabin orders large quantities of the freshest Hawaiian Big Eye Tuna each week; in fact, this restaurant is the largest purchaser of the rare fish in the country.

To make the Hawaiian Tuna Poke, you will need to combine all of the ingredients listed below, except for nuts, limu and cucumber.

Slice cucumbers evenly and place them on the bottom of the serving bowls.

Place tuna mixture on top and garnish with nuts and limu.

Ingredients:

2 lbs. #1 grade Hawaiian Big Eye tuna, cut into bite-sized cubes

1/2 cup shoyu or soy sauce

3/4 cup green onions, chopped (tops too)

2 Tbs. sesame oil

1 Tbs. fresh grated ginger

1 chili pepper, cored, seeded, and chopped finely

Hawaiian sea salt, to taste

1 Tbs. toasted sesame seeds

1 Tbs. kukui nuts or macadamia nuts, toasted and chopped

1 cup fresh limu

1 cucumber, peeled, seeded, and julienned

For the ultimate presentation, the restaurant suggests that you serve it on ice in a small vibrant bowl atop a larger bowl.

Afrojack, the international, musical sensation that was ranked the seventh top DJ of 2011 by DJ Mag, performed in front of hundreds of guests at the W South Beach Hotel’s pool on New Year’s Eve. Paris Hilton, Afrojack’s rumored girlfriend, was also present for the celebration and rang in 2012 in the DJ booth. Other notable guests included Nicky Hilton, Angela Simmons (Haute Living’s newest celebrity blogger) and Miami Beach Mayor Matti Herrera Bower.

After the poolside performance, many guests continued their evening at WALL, where another superstar DJ took to the tables. Alesso, also known as the protégé to Swedish House Mafia’s Sebastian Ingrosso, spun an epic set at the W’s nightclub, where prices for tables reached up to $25,000.
