There is a new seafood eatery in New York City called Choptank that serves some fantastic dishes including fish, crab cakes, chowders, peel and eat shrimp, and steamed clams with fried chicken.
The kitchen is run by Chef Matthew Schaefer who formally worked at locales such as Le Berdardin, and Choptank is owned and run by Bobby Werhane and Josh Morgan. The restaurant just opened in the old Bar Q space with Chesapeake Bay styled dishes. The menu is made up of under $25 seafood dishes, and even steak and cheeseburgers “thrown in for good measure.”
