As a stylist to some the biggest names in the music industry, founder of her own company and author, June Ambrose is the reigning queen of her trade. With a career spanning over a decade, and a clientele including such icons as Mary J. Blige, Mariah Carey, Sean Combs and Jay-Z, Ambrose gets her inspiration from the streets of New York City. Rather than study fashion, a privilege that Ambrose did not have, she read numerous books on costume design. Before beginning her career cultivating many of today’s best artists, Ambrose’s stint in investment banking fired the entrepreneur within. She started Mod Squad in 1994 and continues to be a creative power within the company. Ambrose published “Effortless Style” in 2006, followed by another book, television appearances and launches into new categories. With two kids of her own, she still finds time to give back to charities, aptly those benefiting children.
