Walt Disney’s Last Mega-Mansion Sale for $90M

According to the LA Times, The legendary Walt Disney’s last property in Holmby Hills is back on the market with an asking price of $90 million. The very same property that once had an one-eighth scale steam railroad which used one-eight scale coal called the Carolwood Pacific Railroad. The mega mansion built in 2001 by the owner of the Houston Dynamo, Gabriel Brener features eight bedrooms, 17 bathrooms, a pool house, a gym, a putting green, a tennis court, a library, a putting green, a wine cellar, three bars and two safe rooms, along with three inch thick mahogany doors, all on 3.7 acres. Brener even kept the Mickey Mouse gate on the estate and possibly the 90 foot tunnel from the railroad.

The mega mansion has additional space for the help.  “Separate quarters are designated for help and special event staff that includes two beds and a living room accessible via a service entrance of the garage,” according to people.

Here’s what the listing says about the spacious property: “Dating back to the 19th Century, the mantels are made of the finest of marbles, crown molding hugs the corners throughout the estate, creating an elegant, polished look. The use of pure mahogany remains an architectural theme within this home, found most strikingly in the master suite, library, and, as a transitional element, between rooms … Double-paned windows offer a pleasing natural backdrop and light throughout the house to the upper level lawn.
