Jane Fonda Sells Luxury Hollywood Home For $8.5M

Recently, Jane Fonda has sold her Hollywood Hills home for $8.5 million. The former home of President Ronald Reagan was built in 1942 for him and his first wife, Jane Wyman.

Ironically, Fonda plays Nancy Reagan in the upcoming movie “The Butler.” According to a mutual friend Mrs. Reagan was very pleased with Fonda’s role as the first lady. Fonda even wrote on her blog: “Because I have a scene walking down a White House corridor with then Secretary of State, James Baker, I wanted to know what she used to call him (Jim) and would she have linked her arm in his (no).”

Since moving the actress shared her take on her new home: “It’s a perfect house for us. A good 3rd Act house, is how I describe it. Instead of the twinkling southern view of all Los Angeles and the ocean, we look out to the west (and a tad north) over hills. It’s a serene view.”

The recently sold home was once shared with music producer Richard Perry, the mastermind behind Carly Simon and Rod Stewart albums. The Hollywood Hills house includes a Bailnese-style pool house, tennis court and a pool.

Next week, Fonda, 74, will be celebrating the 40th anniversary of the movie “Klute,” the same movie that the legendary star won an Oscar for back in 1972. In honor of the anniversary Fonda will be having a special fundraiser that will benefit the Georgia Campaign for Adolescent Pregnancy Prevention that was founded by the actress in 1995.
