The San Francisco Symphony’s 2013 Opening Gala promises to be something special this year, as superstar soprano and actress Audra McDonald is the guest soloist. She will be singing songs from the ‘American Songbook in a captivating, all-American program with Michael Tilson Thomas and the San Francisco Symphony.

The gorgeous evening begins with three simultaneous dinners before the concert: The Patrons’ Dinner inside of Louise M. Davies Tent Pavilion; the Symphony Supper inside of the Grand Rotunda – City Hall and the Symphonix Dinner inside of City Hall’s North Light Court.  But guests who don’t opt for those packages have access to complimentary wine reception in the hall before the concert, plus a fun and swank after-party in the gala tent and on grove street, with live music, dancing, food, and drinks (already included in the ticket price).

After the concert, all guests are invited to attend a glamorous after-party with entertainment, dancing, drinks, and treats from San Francisco’s finest.

Formal dinner packages begin at $395 and include a 5pm cocktail reception, 6pm dinner, the after-party in the Tent Pavilion and Grove Street, and premium seating for the concert. Dinner packages are available by contacting the Volunteer Council at (415) 503-5500.
