As Carlos Santana kicks off his May show dates of “An Intimate Evening with Santana: Greatest Hits Live – Yesterday, Today & Tomorrow,” a “bas relief” portrait/sculpture of the legendary guitarist was unveiled on Tuesday inside Crossroads at House of Blues Las Vegas at Mandalay Bay. The sculpture will be added to the ceiling, which features “the Blues Gods” — a great honor and House of Blues tradition with many music legends adorning the room. The pieces, which are sculpted in clay, all depict a master of the blues or a blues-inspired artist, honoring the history of blues music and its influence across all music.

The unveiling took place during a presentation for the Drawing Us Together contest that honors local students for their artwork contributions. Santana was on hand to announce two winners in the high school category and present them with their awards.
