Baseball superstar Frank “The Big Hurt” Thomas introduced his new line of Big Hurt MVP Beer at Meatball Spot at Town Square on Thursday night.
The former Chicago White Sox MVP dined on classic meatballs with spicy meat sauce paired with a side of spaghetti and classic sauce. The four-time Silver Slugger winner polished off his meal with a strawberry shortcake shake.
“I have heard such good things about Meatball Spot from friends and I just had to try it. You can’t go wrong with these awesome meatballs,” said Thomas.
In the popular eatery’s packed patio area, Thomas graciously signed autographs and took photos with admiring fans while chatting with mentor and longtime friend, Gene Kilroy, former manager of boxing legend Muhammad Ali. The legends stopped to watch and cheer on college basketball games with fans around them.
