Cipriani Group To Host Opening of Domingo Zapata’s Pop-Up Gallery and New Collection ’11 Minutes’ in Soho
Celebrity artist Domingo Zapata will unveil his latest collection “11 Minutes” at the opening of his pop-up gallery on March 13. In celebration of the momentous occasion, Cipriani group is hosting an opening reception at the gallery (372 West Broadway) from 8 PM to 11 PM.
Inspired by the synonymous novel by Brazilian novelist Paulo Coelho, “11 Minutes” explores the triggers of human obsession: beauty, sexuality and power.
Zapata’s captivating style has attracted many of the world’s top collectors including George Soros, Johnny Depp, the Neuberger Berman Group and royal families around the world. The 38-year-old artist recently revealed a collection entitled “The Love of My Life is in Paris” at the SLS Miami Beach for Art Basel 2012. That same week, the W Hotel showcased his most recent mural, a Zapata format now in international demand by both corporate and private curators as well as designers. The piece now permanently hangs in in the lobby of the W hotel.
