Alexander Mijares Hosts “Hanging of the Art” Launch at Viceroy’s EOS

Alexander Mijares, a Miami native and talented newcomer to Miami’s art scene hosted an exclusive preview reception of his work last week at EOS at Viceroy Miami in order to celebrate the restaurant’s new art exhibition series, “Hanging of the Art.”
Mijares, who has a Master’s Degree in Business Administration at Florida International University, didn’t always intend to become an artist, but has emerged as one of Miami’s most promising talents. Growing up sketching and doodling, he has now shown his work at some of the most prestigious art events including Art Basel, Art Wynwood, and ART Santa Fe.
The event at EOS showcased the artist’s newest works, which include two notable collaborations with Barcelona-based artists, El Pez and Kenor, and was the first in the rotating exhibition. The 15th-floor Viceroy restaurant will feature quarterly exhibitions of esteemed Miami artists. Mijares’s works will be on display until mid-May.
