Tom Hanks Guaranteed At Least $75,000 Per Week in Broadway Debut
Get ready to see Tom Hank‘s name in lights! The Academy-Award winning actor is gearing up for his Broadway debut of a new play from the late Nora Ephron entitled “Lucky Guy.”
Hanks, 56, has committed to a 15-week run and will reportedly earn 12.5 percent of the weekly box office, with a $75,000 minimum. His weekly earnings could reach $150,000 if the show sells out.
But that’s not all. According to Bloomberg News, Hanks could also collect a paycheck even when he’s no longer in the play! According to the show’s operating agreement, Hanks will also get two percent of ticket sales should producers decide extend the run and recast his role as New York tabloid reporter Mike McAlary.
