On Sunday, February 24, 2013, Public Hotel (1300 North State) will transform itself into a mini Kodak Theatre for hello, OSCAR!, an Academy Awards screening party. The event will be hosted by Monika Dixon of Monika Dixon PR and D. Graham Kostic of GlossedandFound.com. It’s actually more of a committee of hosts with Alexis Cozzini (SARCA), Darnell Robinson (Christian Louboutin), and Jessie Kalin (Windy City Live producer), and they are all excited to show 150 of Chicago’s most glamorous people a wonderful Hollywood-glam evening.
The night will begin at 6:30pm, which gives attendees time to see some of the red carpet action courtesy of the E! Network before the Oscars start at 7pm. During the evening guests, dressed in their most fashionable cocktail attire, will be treated to hors d’oeuvres and an open bar that will be provided by Public Hotel. And just so guests have the optimum Oscar-viewing experience, in addition to the Public Hotel’s elegant screening room they are setting up extra screens. They are even going a step further to give attendees the ultimate experience by having KBE Entertainment illuminate Public Hotel with red lighting to give off a glitzy Hollywood vibe.
To go along with the open bar and hors d’oeuvres, there will be sweets! Sugar Hills Bakery will be creating an extravagant Oscars-inspired cake and desserts, Amy DiTomasso of Sugar Chic Designs will be styling a couture candy table, and Moet & Chandon will make sure every attendee gets a sweet-adorned mini champagne bottle.
