Grammy Award-Winning Artist Common to Appear at AT&T Flagship

Common

International design company, Case-Mate, is known for its fashion forward mobile accessories. They are now using these accessories to help Chicago’s youth. They have teamed up with AT&T to create an exclusive set of art-inspired smartphone cases. The two companies have partnered up with Chicago’s own Grammy-Award winning artist Common to design the cases. For every case they sell, they will donate $5 to Common’s non-profit organization, the Common Ground Foundation.

There will be a kick off event at the AT&T store (600 North Michigan Ave) this evening (2/28/13). And it has been confirmed that Common himself will be making an appearance between 7 and 8 pm. You will have a chance to not only meet a superstar, but also help a great cause by buying a Case-Mate smartphone case. If you can’t make it in to the store, you can always find them at AT&T’s online shop. Remember, you’re not just purchasing a better case for your phone, you are helping to ensure a better future for Chicago’s youth. For a better understanding of what the Common Ground Foundation is all about, I have included a short quote from Common below.

“I started the Common Ground Foundation because I wanted to help. Most of all help people to help themselves. I always believed that if we started with the youth, then we would be planting the seeds for our future to blossom. Give the children a sense of hope, self-esteem, and love that will better the world…I think making a difference in the lives of others is life’s greatest purpose. I walk this path with faith knowing that the Common Ground Foundation will change the world. “
